This would be epic wouldn't it? (Cue 50/50 split between "Yes, awesome" and "Hell no, yet another boring Porsche sub-sub-sub-derivative of a 911")

They already did this with the 997. And the 964. And the 930 lol.

And everytime they do it, it's pretty damn awesome. The only people who say "hell no" are the people who don't like Porsche anyway, so their opinion doesn't matter.

I believe the 930 is worth ungodly amounts of money now...

'sokay. I've always been a bigger fan of the tracktard 911s, but the Speedster is cool if it funds development of further hoonworthy vehicles. :o)

No no more 911's! I'm tired of this car! They need a redesign of it!

Yes I am here! It would be a cool car but! The design is just too old! Even mustang is being redesigned and redone corvette as well. But I guess old rich dude like a car they saw as a kid and wanted. Hell it seems like now a days ferrari is beig more dynamic in designs. They go from 360 to 430 with some changed then from 430 to 458 with all new styling and then the 599 to F12. Porsche is becoming like BMW boreing ultra beigemobile

Porsche are more conservative than a tea chest full of tea party candidates - or something like that

Too conservative if you ask me. It's time for something new! And the 918 looks a little 911ish but they need to change and so does BMW

So, why is the speedster so special? what makes it different from a 911 cabriolet?

I don't think they ever did it with the 930. They did however do it with the 911 3.2 Carrera.

Yep. It was the last few production years before the 964 was released.

Yeah, that's the 3.2 Carrera Speedster. 930 refers to the turbos of that era. They never made a turbo speedster. The speedsters had upgraded turbo spec brakes and suspension however.

Ah. I didn't know the 930 was just reserved for the Turbo 911. Guess I should have guessed you'd be right on this, since you're the Porsche Guy haha.
